A very complex and well structured wine with elegance. Full bodied with beautiful, rich tannins. The gentle use of oak and controlled alcohol allow the wine to speak of its single vineyard origins. Can be enjoyed now but can also be cellared for at least another 15 years.

" From a family-run micro-winery founded by sixth-generation Barossan vigneron Sam Kurtz and his wife Bernadette Kaeding, who also designs all the labels for their range. The Shiraz vines on their 5ha Ebenezer site were 20 years old in this moderately warm vintage; the fruit (some left as whole bunches) was handpicked and fermented with wild yeasts in open-top vats, basket pressed, then aged 15 months in seasoned French oak. Justin Knock MW: Intriguing aromatic complexity, savoury, elusive, peppercorn and cured meats, turmeric and sage. Silky and charming, beguiling. Tina Gellie: Gorgeous youthful purity on the nose, pretty and lifted, full of florals, berries and exotic smoky spices. Compelling, a lightly dancing and breezy Shiraz with good structure. Fermented with indigenous yeast in open fermenters. Gently basket pressed and them matured in seasoned French oak.
